This Policy explains how SeenKind reviews therapist applications — what we check, what we require, and what approval means. Verification is an administrative process, not an endorsement of competence or treatment outcomes.
No therapist profile is publicly visible or bookable until the application has been reviewed and approved.
Purpose
The SeenKind Therapist Verification Policy (“Policy”) explains how therapist applications are reviewed before therapists are permitted to offer services through the SeenKind Platform.
The purpose of verification is to improve user trust, promote platform safety, and help confirm that therapists have submitted the required documentation.
Verification is an administrative review conducted by SeenKind and is not a certification, accreditation, endorsement, guarantee of competence, or guarantee of treatment outcomes.

Scope
This Policy applies to every individual applying to become a therapist on SeenKind.
No therapist profile will be publicly visible or available for bookings until the verification process has been completed and the application has been approved.
Verification Process
The standard verification process generally includes:
- Therapist submits an application.
- Therapist uploads required documents.
- SeenKind reviews the submission.
- Additional information may be requested if necessary.
- The application is approved or declined.
- Approved therapists receive access to therapist features and their public profile may be published.
SeenKind may modify or expand this process as needed to improve platform security or comply with legal requirements.

Professional Certifications
Where applicable, applicants should provide relevant certifications demonstrating training or specialization.
Work Experience
Applicants may be required to provide information regarding previous or current professional experience.
SeenKind may request additional supporting information where reasonably necessary.
Accuracy of Information
All information submitted must be:
- Accurate
- Complete
- Truthful
- Current
Applicants must not submit:
- Forged documents
- Altered documents
- Expired documents presented as current
- Information belonging to another person
- Misleading statements
Providing false information may result in immediate rejection or permanent removal from the Platform.
Review Process
Applications are reviewed by SeenKind. During review, SeenKind may:
- Examine submitted documents.
- Request clarification.
- Request replacement documents.
- Request additional supporting information.
- Verify consistency between submitted materials.
Approval decisions are made using SeenKind's internal review procedures.
Additional Information Requests
SeenKind may request additional documentation if:
- Documents are unclear.
- Information is incomplete.
- Information appears inconsistent.
- Additional verification is reasonably necessary.
Failure to respond within a reasonable time may result in closure of the application.
Approval
If an application is approved:
- The therapist account will be activated.
- The therapist may create or update their public profile.
- Clients may view the therapist profile.
- The therapist may begin accepting bookings through the Platform.
Approval indicates only that the application has successfully completed SeenKind's verification process.
Approval does not:
- Guarantee professional competence.
- Guarantee treatment quality.
- Guarantee future compliance.
- Guarantee continued eligibility.
- Create an employment relationship with SeenKind.
Rejection
SeenKind may decline an application for reasons including, but not limited to:
- Incomplete applications.
- Missing documentation.
- Inconsistent information.
- False or misleading information.
- Fraud concerns.
- Failure to satisfy Platform requirements.
- Safety or trust concerns.
- Repeated failure to respond to verification requests.
SeenKind is not required to disclose internal verification methods or decision-making criteria beyond what is required by applicable law.
Reapplication
An applicant whose application has been declined may be permitted to submit a new application unless the rejection resulted from serious misconduct, fraud, document falsification, or other conduct that makes future participation inappropriate.
SeenKind reserves the right to refuse future applications where necessary to protect the Platform or its users.
Ongoing Verification
Verification is not a one-time process. SeenKind may request updated information or documents at any time to:
- Maintain accurate records.
- Improve Platform security.
- Investigate complaints.
- Confirm continued compliance.
- Address suspected fraud.
- Meet legal or operational requirements.
Failure to provide requested updates may result in temporary restrictions or suspension.
Therapist Responsibilities After Approval
Approved therapists must promptly update their profile if there are material changes to:
- Name
- Qualifications
- Certifications
- Professional experience
- Areas of expertise
- Availability
- Session pricing
- Other publicly displayed information
Therapists remain responsible for ensuring that their information remains accurate.
Verification Badge
SeenKind may display a verification badge or similar indicator on approved therapist profiles.
A verification badge signifies only that the therapist has completed SeenKind's verification process based on the information and documents submitted.
A verification badge does not:
- Represent government approval.
- Represent professional licensing.
- Guarantee competence.
- Guarantee therapeutic outcomes.
- Constitute an endorsement by SeenKind.
Fraud Prevention
SeenKind takes document fraud seriously. Where fraud is suspected, SeenKind may:
- Suspend the application.
- Request additional verification.
- Reject the application.
- Remove an existing account.
- Preserve relevant records.
- Report suspected unlawful activity to appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law.
Confidentiality of Verification Documents
Verification documents are handled in accordance with SeenKind's Privacy Policy.
Government-issued identification, educational records, certifications, and supporting documents are collected for verification purposes and are not displayed publicly.
Access to verification materials is restricted to authorized personnel and service providers who require access to perform verification, security, compliance, or operational functions.
No Guarantee of Continued Approval
Verification does not guarantee permanent participation on the Platform. SeenKind may suspend or remove therapists who:
- Violate Platform policies.
- Submit false information.
- Engage in misconduct.
- Fail to maintain required standards.
- Present a safety or security concern.
Changes to This Policy
SeenKind may update this Therapist Verification Policy from time to time.
The latest version will be published on the Platform with a revised version number and effective date.
Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
