This Policy explains who owns what on SeenKind — the Platform's own IP, what users retain, and how copyright complaints are handled.

The Platform, code, design, branding, and original content.

You own

Content you create — biographies, reviews, articles, and uploads.

License granted

You grant SeenKind a limited license to host and display your content on the Platform.

Purpose

This Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy (“Policy”) explains the ownership, permitted use, protection, and reporting procedures relating to intellectual property available through SeenKind (“SeenKind”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

Ownership of the Platform

Unless otherwise stated, all rights, title, and interest in the SeenKind Platform are owned by SeenKind or its licensors. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • The SeenKind name and logo.
  • Branding and slogans.
  • Website design and user interface.
  • Source code and software.
  • Mobile applications.
  • Graphics, icons, illustrations, audio, and video.
  • Databases and platform functionality.
  • Documentation and marketing materials.
  • Original written content.

These materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Trademarks

“SeenKind”, our logo, branding, slogans, and other identifying marks are the property of SeenKind unless otherwise indicated.

Users may not use our trademarks:

  • In a misleading manner.
  • In connection with competing services.
  • To imply sponsorship or endorsement.
  • Without our prior written permission.

Nothing in this Policy grants a license to use SeenKind's trademarks except as expressly permitted.

Limited License

Subject to compliance with our Terms of Service and this Policy, SeenKind grants users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform solely for its intended purposes.

This license does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property.

Prohibited Uses

Without prior written permission from SeenKind, users must not:

  • Copy substantial portions of the Platform.
  • Modify Platform content.
  • Reverse engineer the Platform except where such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.
  • Sell or sublicense Platform materials.
  • Redistribute Platform content.
  • Create derivative works from Platform content.
  • Remove copyright or trademark notices.
  • Use automated tools to extract Platform content in violation of our Terms.

User-Generated Content

Users may upload content including profile information, photographs, reviews, messages, articles, educational content, comments, images, documents, and other materials.

Users retain ownership of content they create.

However, by submitting content to SeenKind, you grant SeenKind a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable (only as necessary for Platform operations), sublicensable (to trusted service providers), license to:

  • Host, store, display, reproduce, format, and distribute the content.
  • Translate content where necessary.
  • Use the content solely for operating, securing, improving, promoting, and providing the Platform.

This license ends when the content is deleted, except where retention is permitted or required under our policies or applicable law.

Therapist Content

Therapists retain ownership of original materials they create, including biographies, articles, educational resources, and profile content.

By publishing such content on SeenKind, therapists grant SeenKind the license described in Section 6 for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.

Therapists represent that they have the necessary rights to publish any content they upload.

User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for ensuring that any content they upload:

  • Is lawful.
  • Does not infringe another person's intellectual property rights.
  • Does not violate privacy rights.
  • Does not violate contractual obligations.
  • Complies with Platform policies.

Users are solely responsible for the content they submit.

Copyright Infringement Reports

If you believe that material available on SeenKind infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, you may submit a written notice through our official support channels.

Your notice should include:

  • Your name and contact information.
  • A description of the copyrighted work or intellectual property.
  • The location of the allegedly infringing material on the Platform.
  • A statement explaining the basis of your claim.
  • A declaration that the information provided is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder, where applicable.

SeenKind may request additional information before taking action.

Review of Complaints

Upon receiving a complaint, SeenKind may:

  • Review the reported material.
  • Request additional information.
  • Temporarily restrict access to the material.
  • Remove the material.
  • Contact the user who uploaded the content.
  • Take other reasonable actions consistent with applicable law.

SeenKind reserves the right to determine appropriate action based on the available information.

Repeat Infringers

Users who repeatedly infringe the intellectual property rights of others may have their accounts:

  • Restricted.
  • Suspended.
  • Permanently terminated.

SeenKind may also remove related content where appropriate.

Counter-Notices

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may contact SeenKind with supporting information.

SeenKind may review the matter and determine whether the content should be restored, modified, or remain removed.

Submitting a counter-notice does not guarantee reinstatement.

Third-Party Content

The Platform may contain content owned by therapists, clients, or other third parties.

SeenKind does not claim ownership of third-party content except to the extent necessary to operate the Platform under the licenses granted in this Policy.

Third-party trademarks and copyrighted materials remain the property of their respective owners.

Feedback

If you voluntarily provide suggestions, ideas, recommendations, feature requests, or other feedback regarding SeenKind, you grant SeenKind a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, modify, implement, and incorporate that feedback without compensation or attribution, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Open Source Software

The Platform may incorporate open-source software components.

Where applicable, those components remain subject to their respective open-source licenses.

Nothing in this Policy limits rights granted under those licenses.

Reservation of Rights

Except for the limited licenses expressly granted in this Policy, all intellectual property rights are reserved by SeenKind and its licensors.

No ownership rights are transferred to users.

Changes to This Policy

SeenKind may update this Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy from time to time.

The latest version will be published on the Platform with a revised version number and effective date.

Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
