Code of Conduct

This Code sets the behavioral standards every SeenKind therapist must uphold — to protect clients, maintain trust, and ensure a safe and professional environment for everyone on the Platform.

Zero tolerance: Sexual misconduct results in immediate investigation and may lead to permanent removal. See Section 6.

Purpose

The SeenKind Code of Conduct (“Code”) establishes the standards of professional behavior expected of every therapist using the SeenKind Platform.

This Code is designed to protect clients, promote trust, and maintain a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all users.

This Code should be read together with the:

Failure to comply with this Code may result in warnings, suspension, permanent removal from the Platform, or other actions as described in this Code and other applicable policies.

Professionalism

Therapists must conduct themselves professionally at all times while using the Platform. Therapists are expected to:

  • Treat every client with dignity and respect.
  • Communicate honestly and professionally.
  • Act with integrity.
  • Exercise sound professional judgment.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Respect cultural, religious, and personal differences.
  • Promote a safe and welcoming environment.

Respectful Behaviour

Therapists must communicate respectfully in all interactions. The following conduct is prohibited:

  • Harassment
  • Bullying
  • Threats
  • Intimidation
  • Hate speech
  • Abusive language
  • Discriminatory remarks
  • Personal attacks
  • Retaliation against users

Professional disagreements must be handled respectfully.

Non-Discrimination

Therapists must not unlawfully discriminate against clients based on characteristics protected by applicable law.

Therapists are expected to provide services fairly and respectfully while remaining free to decline services that fall outside their professional competence, availability, or lawful scope of practice.

Professional Boundaries

Therapists must maintain appropriate professional boundaries. Therapists must not:

  • Exploit clients emotionally.
  • Exploit clients financially.
  • Manipulate clients.
  • Pressure clients into purchasing unrelated products or services.
  • Use confidential information for personal benefit.
  • Develop relationships that compromise professional objectivity.

Boundaries should be maintained throughout the professional relationship and, where appropriate, after services have concluded.

Sexual Misconduct

Zero tolerance

SeenKind has zero tolerance for sexual misconduct. Therapists must not:

  • Engage in sexual harassment.
  • Make sexually inappropriate comments.
  • Request or send sexually explicit content.
  • Use sexually suggestive language toward clients.
  • Exploit the therapeutic relationship for sexual purposes.
  • Engage in any conduct that creates an unsafe or exploitative environment.

Reports of sexual misconduct will be investigated promptly and may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the Platform.

Honesty and Integrity

Therapists must provide truthful information at all times. Therapists must not:

  • Submit forged or altered documents.
  • Misrepresent qualifications or experience.
  • Make false statements about education or certifications.
  • Falsely claim professional registrations or affiliations.
  • Guarantee therapeutic outcomes.

SeenKind may request supporting documentation at any time.

Confidentiality

Therapists must protect confidential client information. Confidential information may only be disclosed:

  • With the client's authorization;
  • Where required by applicable law; or
  • Where disclosure is necessary to address a serious and immediate risk of harm, consistent with applicable legal and professional obligations.

Therapists should use reasonable safeguards to protect confidential information.

Communication Through the Platform

Therapists should use the SeenKind messaging and communication tools responsibly. Therapists must not:

  • Send spam.
  • Send abusive messages.
  • Send malicious files or links.
  • Use the Platform to conduct unlawful activities.
  • Share another person's confidential information without authorization.

Communication should remain courteous, professional, and relevant to the services provided.

Off-Platform Solicitation

Therapists must not encourage clients to leave the Platform for the purpose of avoiding SeenKind's fees or policies. Examples include:

  • Requesting direct payments outside SeenKind.
  • Asking clients to cancel Platform bookings and continue privately.
  • Sharing payment information to bypass the Platform.

Nothing in this section prevents therapists from maintaining independent practices outside SeenKind, provided they do not improperly solicit clients obtained through the Platform.

Reviews and Ratings

Therapists must respect the integrity of the review system. Therapists must not:

  • Purchase reviews.
  • Exchange services for reviews.
  • Pressure clients to leave positive reviews.
  • Discourage honest reviews through intimidation.
  • Submit fake reviews.
  • Manipulate ratings.

SeenKind may remove reviews that violate Platform policies.

Conflicts of Interest

Therapists should avoid conflicts of interest that may impair professional judgment or compromise client welfare.

Where a conflict cannot reasonably be avoided, therapists should manage it appropriately or decline the engagement.

Safety

Therapists should contribute to a safe environment for all users. Therapists must not:

  • Encourage violence.
  • Promote unlawful activity.
  • Encourage self-harm.
  • Use threatening behavior.
  • Endanger users through reckless conduct.

Where a therapist becomes aware of information suggesting a serious and immediate risk of harm, they are responsible for responding in accordance with applicable law and professional obligations.

Platform Security

Therapists must not:

  • Attempt unauthorized access to the Platform.
  • Circumvent security measures.
  • Share account credentials.
  • Use another person's account.
  • Upload malware or malicious software.
  • Interfere with Platform operations.

Cooperation with SeenKind

Therapists agree to cooperate with reasonable requests from SeenKind relating to:

  • Verification
  • Complaint investigations
  • Safety concerns
  • Fraud prevention
  • Platform integrity
  • Policy compliance

Failure to cooperate may result in temporary restrictions or account suspension.

Reporting Concerns

Therapists are encouraged to report:

  • Fraud
  • Abuse
  • Harassment
  • Safety concerns
  • Security vulnerabilities
  • Policy violations

Reports should be made honestly and in good faith. Knowingly submitting false or malicious reports may itself constitute a violation of this Code.

Violations

Violations of this Code may result in one or more of the following actions:

  • Educational guidance
  • Written warning
  • Removal of content
  • Temporary feature restrictions
  • Temporary suspension
  • Permanent account termination
  • Delay or withholding of payouts where permitted by applicable agreements and law
  • Reporting to relevant authorities where required or permitted by law

SeenKind will determine the appropriate response based on the seriousness of the conduct, available evidence, prior history, and the need to protect users and the Platform.

Changes to This Code

SeenKind may update this Code of Conduct from time to time.

Updated versions will be published on the Platform with a revised version number and effective date.

Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Code.
