Acceptable Use Policy

This Policy sets the standards of conduct expected from everyone who uses SeenKind. It applies to clients, therapists, and all Platform users.

Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) explains the standards of conduct expected from all users of SeenKind (“SeenKind”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

It applies to every person who accesses or uses the SeenKind website, applications, messaging system, booking system, payment services, online sessions, and all related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

General Responsibilities

All users are expected to:

  • Act honestly and respectfully.
  • Provide accurate information.
  • Respect the privacy and rights of others.
  • Use the Platform only for its intended purposes.
  • Follow applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain the security of their account.

Users are responsible for all activity that occurs under their account.

Prohibited Activities

You must not use SeenKind to:

  • Break any applicable law.
  • Commit fraud.
  • Impersonate another individual or organization.
  • Create fake accounts.
  • Submit false qualifications or documents.
  • Misrepresent your identity.
  • Circumvent Platform security.
  • Interfere with the operation of the Platform.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any account or system.
  • Distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, viruses, or other malicious software.
  • Harvest user information without authorization.
  • Conduct phishing or social engineering attacks.
  • Use automated tools or bots in a manner that disrupts Platform operations without our written permission.

Therapist Requirements

Therapists

Therapists must not:

  • Upload forged or altered documents.
  • Misrepresent qualifications, certifications, education, or experience.
  • Falsely claim to hold licenses, registrations, or credentials.
  • Mislead clients regarding services or outcomes.
  • Offer services outside their competence or qualifications.
  • Share another person's confidential information without authorization.
  • Ask clients to bypass SeenKind for payments in order to avoid Platform fees.
  • Use the Platform for unlawful or unethical purposes.

SeenKind reserves the right to request updated verification documents at any time.

Client Responsibilities

Clients

Clients must not:

  • Harass therapists.
  • Threaten or intimidate other users.
  • Submit fraudulent payment information.
  • Book appointments with no intention of attending.
  • Abuse refund processes.
  • Create multiple accounts to avoid restrictions.
  • Attempt to manipulate therapist ratings or reviews.

Respectful Communication

Users must communicate respectfully. The following are prohibited:

  • Hate speech
  • Harassment
  • Bullying
  • Discrimination
  • Threats
  • Intimidation
  • Defamation
  • Obscene or abusive language
  • Sexual harassment
  • Unwanted solicitation
  • Sharing illegal content

Constructive disagreement is permitted, but abusive behavior is not.

Messaging System

SeenKind's messaging system exists to facilitate communication related to services offered through the Platform. Users must not use messaging to:

  • Send spam.
  • Send unsolicited advertisements.
  • Share malicious files or links.
  • Promote illegal activities.
  • Conduct scams.
  • Harass users.
  • Circumvent Platform safety measures.

SeenKind may investigate misuse of messaging systems where permitted by law and our Privacy Policy.

Reviews and Ratings

Reviews should reflect genuine personal experiences. Users must not:

  • Post fake reviews.
  • Offer or accept payment in exchange for reviews.
  • Post defamatory or knowingly false statements.
  • Reveal another person's confidential information.
  • Manipulate ratings.

SeenKind may edit, reject, hide, or remove reviews that violate Platform policies.

Payments

Users must not:

  • Use stolen payment methods.
  • Reverse legitimate payments through fraudulent chargebacks.
  • Manipulate pricing.
  • Interfere with payment processing.
  • Attempt to avoid Platform fees or commissions.

Therapists must not encourage clients to make payments outside SeenKind where doing so violates Platform policies.

Intellectual Property

Users must respect intellectual property rights. You must not:

  • Upload copyrighted material without permission.
  • Copy or reproduce Platform content without authorization.
  • Use SeenKind's branding without written permission.
  • Misuse another person's trademarks, logos, or creative works.

Privacy

Users must respect the privacy of others. You must not:

  • Share confidential information without authorization.
  • Publish another person's private information.
  • Collect personal information from other users for unauthorized purposes.
  • Attempt to access another user's account.

Security

Users must not attempt to:

  • Hack the Platform.
  • Test vulnerabilities without authorization.
  • Disable security features.
  • Interfere with servers.
  • Disrupt Platform availability.
  • Overload systems through automated requests.
  • Access restricted administrative areas.

Any suspected security vulnerability should be reported responsibly to SeenKind.

Platform Integrity

Users must not engage in conduct that undermines trust in the Platform, including:

  • Creating fake bookings.
  • Creating fake therapist profiles.
  • Creating fake client profiles.
  • Artificially inflating ratings.
  • Coordinating review manipulation.
  • Misusing promotional offers.
  • Abusing referral programs.
  • Repeatedly creating accounts after suspension.

Investigations

SeenKind may investigate suspected violations of this Policy. During an investigation, we may:

  • Request additional information.
  • Request identity verification.
  • Temporarily restrict account access.
  • Suspend bookings.
  • Delay payouts where appropriate.
  • Preserve relevant records.
  • Cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by law.

Users are expected to cooperate reasonably with legitimate investigations.

Enforcement

If this Policy is violated, SeenKind may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Issue a warning.
  • Remove content.
  • Remove reviews.
  • Restrict messaging.
  • Restrict bookings.
  • Suspend an account.
  • Permanently terminate an account.
  • Delay or withhold payouts where permitted by applicable agreements and law.
  • Report unlawful activity to appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law.

SeenKind will determine appropriate enforcement measures based on the nature and severity of the violation.

Reporting Violations

Users are encouraged to report suspected violations of this Policy through SeenKind's support channels.

Reports should be made honestly and in good faith.

Knowingly submitting false or malicious reports may itself constitute a violation of this Policy.

Changes to This Policy

SeenKind may revise this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time.

Updated versions will be published on the Platform with a revised version number and effective date.

Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
