Community Guidelines

SeenKind is built on respect, trust, professionalism, and compassion. These Guidelines apply to every user — clients, therapists, and visitors — across all interactions on the Platform.

SeenKind is not an emergency service. In a crisis, call your local emergency services immediately. See Section 11.

Treat Everyone with Respect

Every member of the SeenKind community deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.

We encourage:

  • Kind and professional communication.
  • Patience and understanding.
  • Respect for different backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Honest and constructive conversations.

We do not tolerate:

  • Harassment.
  • Bullying.
  • Intimidation.
  • Hate speech.
  • Threats.
  • Personal attacks.
  • Discrimination prohibited by applicable law.

Be Honest

Trust is essential to mental health care.

Users should:

  • Provide truthful information.
  • Use their real identity where required.
  • Keep profile information accurate.
  • Share honest experiences in reviews.

Do not:

  • Create fake accounts.
  • Pretend to be someone else.
  • Submit false qualifications.
  • Mislead other users.

Respect Privacy

Privacy is fundamental on SeenKind. Please do not:

  • Share another person's confidential information.
  • Publish private conversations without permission.
  • Post personal contact information belonging to others.
  • Attempt to access another user's account or information.

Therapists have additional confidentiality responsibilities as described in the Therapist Agreement and Professional Standards Policy.

Professional Communication

Whether you are a client or therapist, communicate respectfully. Keep conversations:

  • Professional.
  • Courteous.
  • Relevant to the services being provided.
  • Free from abusive or offensive language.

Disagreements should be handled calmly and respectfully.

Safe Online Sessions

Help create a safe environment during sessions. We encourage users to:

  • Join sessions on time.
  • Participate from a private location whenever possible.
  • Use appropriate language.
  • Minimize distractions.
  • Respect each other's time.

Users should not record sessions without the knowledge and consent of all participants and where permitted by applicable law.

Reviews Should Be Honest

Reviews help other users make informed decisions. Reviews should:

  • Reflect genuine personal experiences.
  • Be respectful.
  • Be factually accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • Focus on the services received.

Do not:

  • Post false reviews.
  • Use reviews to threaten or pressure another user.
  • Reveal confidential or identifying information.
  • Exchange reviews for compensation or incentives.

SeenKind may remove reviews that violate our policies.

Keep Payments on the Platform

For your protection, bookings and payments that originate through SeenKind should remain on the Platform. This helps:

  • Protect clients and therapists.
  • Maintain secure payment records.
  • Support refunds and dispute resolution.
  • Reduce fraud.

Therapists must not encourage clients to bypass the Platform for payments that originate through SeenKind.

Respect Professional Boundaries

Therapy is a professional relationship.

Clients should respect therapists' professional boundaries.

Therapists should maintain ethical and professional boundaries at all times.

Neither party should engage in conduct that creates an unsafe, exploitative, or inappropriate environment.

Protect Your Account

Help keep the community safe by:

  • Choosing a strong password.
  • Keeping login credentials confidential.
  • Enabling additional security features if available.
  • Reporting suspicious activity promptly.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.

Report Problems

If you experience or witness any of the following, please report the issue through SeenKind's support channels:

  • Harassment
  • Fraud
  • Abuse
  • Fake profiles
  • Threats
  • Safety concerns
  • Policy violations

We review reports fairly and may request additional information where appropriate. Knowingly submitting false reports may itself violate our policies.

Crisis and Emergencies

SeenKind is not an emergency service.

If you or another person is experiencing a medical emergency, a mental health crisis, or an immediate risk of harm, contact your local emergency services or appropriate crisis resources without delay.

Therapists remain responsible for fulfilling any legal or professional obligations relating to emergency situations.

Prohibited Conduct

The following behavior is not permitted on SeenKind:

  • Harassment or bullying.
  • Threats or intimidation.
  • Fraud or scams.
  • Impersonation.
  • Sharing malicious software or harmful links.
  • Uploading false documents.
  • Manipulating reviews or ratings.
  • Circumventing Platform payments.
  • Attempting unauthorized access to accounts or systems.
  • Using the Platform for unlawful purposes.

Enforcement

To help protect the community, SeenKind may take action where these Guidelines or other Platform policies are violated. Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

  • Educational guidance.
  • Warnings.
  • Removal of content.
  • Removal of reviews.
  • Temporary restrictions.
  • Account suspension.
  • Permanent account termination.
  • Reporting unlawful activity to relevant authorities where required or permitted by law.

SeenKind will consider the seriousness of the conduct, available evidence, and the need to protect users and the Platform when determining an appropriate response.

Updates to These Guidelines

SeenKind may update these Community Guidelines from time to time.

The latest version will be published on the Platform with an updated version number and effective date.

Continued use of SeenKind after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Guidelines.
